So we have a variety of health programs here at Zane State College. What's special about our radiology program is that you are working with the latest technology. Students will learn how to position the patients, they will learn how to angle the X rays, and they will learn proper safety techniques. The radiology program's board is one of the least expensive and it's a national board. Occupational therapy students. They actually have their own lab that has a kitchen, a complete bathroom, a woodworking shop, so you're able to actually working with your fellow students learn how to safely transfer someone from a wheelchair onto a commode. Our Health Information Management Program is extremely flexible. It's completely online, these students can actually go on to earn a bachelor's degree. Our Medical Assisting Program is one of the unique ones you can actually start that program, your junior year of high school. The medical assisting students are working directly with physicians and a lot of our students actually end up getting hired on by the physicians that they intern with. Every week. We have hands on in microbiology for the medical laboratory students. Their last semester they have 16 weeks of work at a clinical laboratory site over the last five years, all of the students that have come through our Medical Laboratory Technician program have been offered jobs before they've graduated.
Being in the health program here, I like the people in the connections I've made a lot. Obviously you have the getting into the medical field itself and actually working there. But the people connections that I have made are definitely invaluable to me has really set me up to be able to get a jumpstart into my career.
